About
My practice involves conceptualising and selecting works from my photographic archive to investigate how we read and understand society. Interested in alternative rules and formats to arrange a body of work, I explore how we experience the act of looking, how we collect images and how we construct stories that ultimately reflect who we are. Following a post-modern ethos, my work challenges notions of authorship, representation, and the idea of an original. As a visual archive, images are private and public, global and local, analogue and digital. I am interested in creating bodies of work that have a sense of theatre and offer alternative options for engaging with the photographic medium. My current focus is on artist books and public artworks.
